Flying today from a new location. Calibrated the compass - OK
Took-off in GPS with 14 satalites (safe to fly GPS). The P3 started making small horizintal circles - about 2' in diameter. The circles just kept getting bigger - 6'/8' in diameter. Altitude held pretty steady at approx. 5' landed it, Re-calibrated the compass, turned off VPS - took off onto a hover - did the same thing. Landed it again. took off with 17 satalies by now - seemed to improve.
Have never had any issues with anything so far - my P3 has been great. But this was unusual behavior.
Any ideas ?

I would never fly outside with gps and vps. I have a theory that they contradict each other. And it is causing a lot of people problems. DJI added vps to aid in indoor flying. The Phantoms have GPS outside and don't need VPS on.
That sounds like the "toilet bowl"...almost always due to a bad compass calibration. Get away from anything metal and recalibrate. I have never turned my VPS off yet. Works fine.
