2.5 miles out and under 400 ft im very impressed . This is  P3A with the lastest firmware. The first day I had bugs since then rock solid. If I kept climbing I could go a lot further

Yes they are im very pleased. They can only get better from here.

How much do you suppose the fine will be for not flying within line of sight?

That's awesome. Probably wouldn't wanna go much further even if you could because of battery.

I actually want to make it 3 miles out since it's a P3 lol i will try again on a calmer day.

It can do it, I've had mine to 5.1km already with 1 missing signal bar and another coming and going..

Did you add something for the image signal or is it stock out of the box?

Yeah it's amazing. Stock I went over 3 miles and landed with 38% battery.

Completely stock and 100 to 150 meters altitude and it was in a rural area, no buildings or houses with wifi within 600 meters or so with a 900 meter field in front of me and then all trees and some buildings and homes and I'm sure most had wifi along the p3p's journey...  But around me and the controller it was nothing around for about 600 meters with a 900 meter open field of grass in front of me

Sounds like a perfect location. Since I have a lot of produce fields are me I tend to fly like im cropping dusting .

As you can tell in the picture i still had a strong rc contol signal but my video signal was weak. The picture is a screen shot of my tablet and its still pretty clear. If i wanted i could have gone further since i had a spotter and I could fly by the map/radar .and when all fails retturn to home

Have you done any IMU and ...

I did them after the firmware update. Guess i should at least to a gimbal calibration again. Im so used to having major jello effects with my previous quads that lil offset does not bother me much.

Mine is 3,450m one direction. Altitude 500m. In the mountains with direct sight. Total flight distance 7950m.
