So, after selling me a £1200 piece of kit DJI don't include a printed manual  

Ok, so I'm now trying to print out a hard copy of the PDF.  Except that the PDF is password protected and set to not allow printing.  How stupid is that ?

Anyone know of a way round this ?

Dont use adobe, use ghost script last time i checked it ignored restrictions like do not print etc.

Edit: A slightly more useful resonse now follows:

Download ghostscript from the following website: http://ghostscript.com/download/gsdnld.html
Install it...
Download GSView from the following website: http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/get50.htm
Install that

Download the manual

Open the manual in GSView
Print
Profit.

Thanks Khador, I'll give that a try.

Adobe Reader 11.0.2 just allowed me to print it from a Win 7 machine. Win 8.1 flat out refuses to print even if I threaten it with replacement with Win 10....

Just to confirm, I followed Khador's suggestion and it worked well.  Installed very easily and printed with no problems (on Win 8.1).

Also prints just fine on OSX...  Also, you can re-export on osx to an unprotected PDF...

Why on earth would DJI protect the PDF though? Weird.

Here ya go....I unlocked it for you, since DJI doesn't seem to understand how to do it (or the need for us to be able to print it).

Just to understand, this protection was only on later versions of the manual? because when I downloaded mine, around end of may, I printed it without problem...

Looks like it.  Certainly the current (v1.2) version has it.

Wasn't an exe.....but I can email you a pdf....

I think DJI has fixed it on their site now.....
