This is 5 minutes of super-smooth 4k taken at Greenham Common in the UK.

Greenham Common was formerly a cold war RAF and US airbase.  Closed as an airbase in 1992, it became a public common in 1997.  Here is my view of part of the northern side of this enormous public resource.

I'm very pleased with how smooth the Mini 2 can be.  Se what you think.

Nicely done.    Looks like a great place to fly.  Really like my Mini 2 also.

This is not an area that I know very well, other than what I saw on the news in the 80s.. Is it still an RAF base? If so, any restrictions? Can you see anything interesting from the air, relating to its history?

jweaver: well clearly it's no longer an airbase;  as I said in my intro, it was closed as an airbase in 1992, then demolished and returned to the public as an open common in 1997.  The GAMAs remain in place, behind a triple fence, and the control tower remains, now a visitor's centre.  In my movie you can easily see where the main runway, over 2 miles in length was.  Various other small buildings remain but it's mostly grass, tree and cattle now.  A wonderful flat place to fly, where the only obstacles are trees.
