Googling it didn't answer this question -- Can I fly the Phantom on a rainy day? I see services for waterproofing a Phantom, but it's not obvious to me if that's for fear I drop it in a lake, or for simply flying it on a rainy day....
Its not designed for flying in rainy days, fog is the most.
Water/rain vill destroy motors and other Electronic as well, so dont do it, and save your Money
No need to Google, page 25 of the manual - Flight Environment Requirements - number 1, do not use the aircraft in severe weather conditions, these include wind speed exceeding category 4, snow, rain and smog.
it can survive a bit of sprinkle, but watch out for acid rains, as the acid can mess up the circuit in the long run and it would probably take a few weeks to bring down ur phantom instead of having it failing immediately during the rainfall.
Water and electricity don't work well together. There is a way that you can fly in wet conditions if you are one of those who need to get footage rain or shine. http://www.liquipel.com/
Go ahead and fly it in the rain, and, if you want to check out the drones max speed, fly it in a tornado! Either way it could become too costly for me to risk obtaining poor videos in bad weather.
