Hey, sorry for the late reply
When using the mic input as timecode on the R4D, you still have two audio channels.
You just cannot use the mini jack mic input (since timecode is plugged in).
Your timecode will be put directly in metadata.
Regardless of how you get your timecode (internal, mic input, timecode in on extension plate), you still get two audio channel.
You will have to tell the camera that the mic input is timecode and not audio though (there is an option in the menus).
You can also force recording the timecode as one of the audio channel, but there isn't any point doing so. |
