I have the RC Pro and M3. Did the updates today including the Go Fly app. Love the updates. However I have run into a bug or two. When in sport mode the M3 gains altitude on its own. Flying forward or backward. Never had that issue before. Also while in Normal mode and full stick once in a while I cant fly any faster than 3-5mph. I switch to Sport mode and back to Normal and all is good. Has happened a few times since updating. Never that issue before the update. So my thought is to just refresh the firmware in the M3 and RC Pro. Recalibrate the IMU and Compass. Any suggestions? Thanks

Just a hunch, but if you turn off obstacle avoidance does this fix your issue?   This was an issue with previous firmware versions.

I also had this behavior (several times!) with the "old" firmware!
I never found out what actually caused it...

But,
never turn off obstacle avoidance because of these problems!!!
It is better to use this "workaround", i.e. N  ->  S  ->  N,
and then be able to fly normally!

Mine rarely has obsatcle avoidance on.  It uses power, and its pretty rubbish on the M3 anyway (old f/w, not installed new yet)

Would you be able to expand a bit on your N -> S -> N workaround?   I hadn't heard about this and am intrigued.

As the author (Cloudwalker) described, the problem went away for him after he switched from Normal mode to Sport mode and then back to Normal mode...
I have also observed this several times.
Since the lettering above the RC's slide switch has the letters C N S,
I've abbreviated the description a bit to outline the sequence of switch actuation....

Update. Well I refreshed the firmware in the M3 and Remote. Recalibrated IMU, Compass and RC Pro. Took it for a test flight and none of the previous issues resurfaced. Test flight was a success and the issues I had seem gone. Thanks everyone and will keep everyone posted if they arise again. Oh and I left obstacle avoidance on.

Now THAT is very interesting....thanks for the explanation.  If I see such behavior, I'll remember the N -> S ->N switching suggestion.  Thanks!

I also noticed it a little weird, especially when I flew forward and sideways at the same time.

I didn't calibrate IMU after the update. I will calibrate the sensors and test again.
