I have had some odd gimbal movements when flying in wind. Please see video

The wind was round 21 km/h. Is this normal or do I have a fault with my Mini 3 and has anyone else experenced this?

I can assure you I was watching the drone from just below it and there was no bird attacking it.

I was getting high wind warnings at the time but as I said the wind was around 21 km/h.

Could be wake turbulence created by drone on the way down ..

Not sure what causes it, probably quick gust of wind. I have seen this on both Mini 2 and Air 2S. Not very common, most of the time either are rock steady.

You may need to calibrate your gimbal. I’d suggest you return the drone if it doesn’t stop. Its not wind or sudden movement its an involuntary movement of the gimbal. I’ve seen this with other drones usually calibration of the gimbal will sort it.

Its not a bird attack and its not a gust of wind.

I have experienced this exact issue and solved it (as much as I can). It isn't a bird, or something you need to raise a fault with DJI.

Simply, it is the gimbal reaching the end point when the wind hits the drone side on and causes the gimbal to exceed its limit.

If it is windy (12+MPH) avoid facing the left or right hand side of the drone into the wind for any downward shot, the gimbal has a much greater range of movement if it's faced into or with the wind behind it.

If you want to prove it, just hold the drone in your hand and simulate this without taking off and you'll see for yourself.

Makes perfect sense. It only seems to happen when windy but has happened a few times. I was going to try the hand hold test

I was shooting in Mastershots mode at the time so I didn't have a say in the direction I was facing lol.

Mine does this in strong wind at -90.    The Mini2 was terrible for it,   I think this is normal.

May we please know if you have received any error message or error codes on the DJI Fly application when this happened? In addition, the DJI Mini 3 Pro has a Maximum Wind Speed Resistance of 10.7 m/s ( Level 5 ). Thank you.

Yes, looks like wind.
When the gimbal is down, it has very little room to correct with the gimbal, so the drone has to do the work with the motors, which has its limitations.
This is not a bug, more a limitation of the tiny size and power of this drone.
Mini 2 is much worse btw at 90 degrees.
