Hello! What is the resolution of an automatically stitched sphere photo on Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro? Specs have disappeared from the site and Mini 2 had a really low resolution of 360 spheres.

8192 x 4096 pixels from DJI Fly stitching (on the RC), assume would be the same using a phone/tablet and the standard controller too. You get better resolution stitching yourself, using something like PTGUI you will get just over twice that size, approx 17912 x 8956 when I run and choose at 100%.  The viewing on the rc controller isn't that great though, low resolution, much better on the rc pro!

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. The resolution for a stitched panoramic photo on a mobile device (DJI Fly app) is low, which does not need a larger input image. You may export the original photos (JPG and DNG format) on the SD card as per Axelz on his response above and you may try to look for a 3rd party editing software to edit your sphere shot. Hope this helps. Thank you for your valued support.

I just worked through using Microsoft ICE 2.0.3   2015  off the Wayback Machine archive
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-u ... site-editor-20.html

It stitches things together if you use Simple Panorama with Rotating Motion. However, it is not aware of metadata that needs to be put in for Google Photos, or Facebook.
That has to be supplied with Exif Pilot
https://www.colorpilot.com/exif_google_photo_sphere.html

The strict 2:1 aspect ratio is not necessary for Google Photos.

Sorry but I strongly disagree. I always used spheres to upload to Street View and just to watch them on Google Photos in VR.  8192 x 4096 pixels is OK, I had this resolution on Mavic Air 1 and it is on Mini 3 Pro. But I hear that Mini 3 has only 4096x2048 (like Mini 2) at a mere 1.5MB, which is unacceptable.

I have yet to process my mini 2 spheres. When I upload them on skypixel, they do look good.

Manual stitching with an extra shot to fill in the top and i get roughly 160 Megapixels (18000 x 9000 ish).

Remember facebook complains at anything over  50MPx (10000 x 5000).

I have the same issue. With the mini 3 sphere panoramic pics are only 8MP, while with another drone I have (MA2) pics are 34MP. Perhaps this will be fixed in a new firmware upgrade...?

Toro, you are right. I have a Mini 3 not pro and sphere pictures are low res, with an average file size o 1.5MB. I am really dissapointed.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. The DJI Mini 3 aircraft has no stitched panorama images on the microSD cards. Being said, the stitched panorama image on the app is the photo downloaded from the mobile phone to the local album. Generally, the size is not the combined size of all original footage (Size of stitched image file < combined size of all original footage). You may use other 3rd party applications to stitch these original panorama files on the SD Card to create a full sphere panorama. Feel free to contact us if you have other inquiries. Thank you for your valued support.

Hi, I am not concerned whether there are stitched panoramas on the card; I prefer to do this on my PC.

However, before I buy I do need to know what resolution the individual images are for a spherical panorama.   I was shocked to discover that the 2023 Mini 2 SE records only 3Mpel images with no JPEG+RAW possible.

What is the (individual image) resolutions for the DJI Mini 3 and 4 drones when taking spherical panoramas?

Thanks.

If you are stitching the 12MP photos in post on your PC you will get images 17946 x 8973, it will be even higher if you manually shoot 48MP. The image size stitched onboard are only 8192 x 4096.
So you will get almost twice the resolution stitching yourself.

I prefer to stitch the images myself in PTGui. But I have not been able to access the original jpeg files shot automatically in Sphere mode. I can get the RAW, but I don't like these because of the vignette which looks really bad when stitched.
I can only use jpeg when I shoot manually, which is time consuming.
