Would this not prevent radio signals being received from the top sections of the antenna, thus reducing signal strength ??

Okay i tested it and it did in fact add distance to the RC... What I did was fly out until I started to get a weak signal and the RC bars went to 1 and 2 remaining. I returned home put on the extender and did the same flight, keeping everything the same as far as the height and travel line. I was able to pass the spot where i got the weak signal by over 1000 feet before I even dropped one bar.

I too was a little dubious, but now I'm a believer.

Just wanted to share

thank you

Hey, this thing really works.  3D printed the part and put the aluminum foil on.  When tested, easily flew out 10,000 feet and still had all bars showing (afraid to go further).  Without the booster, I would start losing signal around 9000 feet.

Curious if anyone tested this by pointing your antennas towards the ground? I think this would give you a better upward angle on the parabolic and avoiding having to roll the tx towards you to gain the same angle.

I guess I see the tablet getting in the way of the parabolic.
