The following firmware updates are made available for all DJI Creator from next Monday. The firmware can be updated via the GO app.

5 new, intelligent flight functions:
Waypoints (Inspire 1 / Phantom 3)
Point-of-Interest (Inspire 1 / Phantom 3)
Follow Me (Phantom 3)
Home lock (Inspire 1 / Phantom 3)
Course Lock (Inspire 1 / Phantom 3)

Phantom 3 Advanced: Camera Upgrade to 2.7K (2704x1520p30) video recording

Warning: The intelligent flight functions are only possible when there is sufficient GPS signal. Fly safely and keep the flight controller is always next to you.

oh nice, camera from P3A updatet to 2.7K But you say it can be updated with the GO app? I can't imagine only the app has to update, and quad/rc not ?

Tbh it makes sense that the phone should update the phantom and the rc without the need to mess with cards and cables    That wouldn't be an unreasonable expectation or change

But is this functionality going to be available in the DJI GO app or just available to 3rd parties?

Just updated the Phantom 3 Pro with 1.4.1 and the remote with 1.3.2 as instructed by the DJI chat service rep.  I tried everything I could think of and everything the DJI chat service rep told me to do but still could not access the new intelligent flight functions.  The DJI chat rep told me to stay tuned to their site for any documentation or instructions to access the intelligent flight functions.  Does anyone know how to access these new flight functions once the firmware is installed?

I just bought an amazing new car today but you can only access the owners manual while driving at 60mph. It has an unusual navigation system. It won't get you where you want to go until you have already been there. Hmmm.
