Was it Worth the Wait? DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Vlogging Camera

I haven't seen that one yet but I am currently watching the "FlytPath" review, and it's really good- including some side-by-side video with the Pocket 2 & 3 which really, really sells the Pocket 3!  If I had the budget I would buy it in a heartbeat.  And then sell my Pocket 1, Pocket 2, Action1, Action 2, two models from Fimi, three 360 degree cameras and even the Go 2 which lives in my pocket and takes up rather less room than the Pocket 3 does.  But reading that list, does anyone wonder why I don't have the budget for the Pocket 3?!  (I could also list my DSLR cameras, and I still have a Sony VX9000...  oh yes, there's a Panasonic SD5 somewhere too.  Gulp)

I pulled the trigger and it will be delivered today by 1pm.  

From all the sample footage I’ve seen across the various YT creators that released content about the Pocket 3 so far, I’m satisfied overall.  I like that the video footage is nice & clean without looking overly sharp and in some that I’be watched, I like how the background blur looks natural.

What really impresses me however is the quality of the low light footage.  Unlike the previous iterations of the Pocket, subjects & the surrounding environment look clear and not shrouded in darkness or excessive noise.

With regard to the price, I do wish it was a slight bit lower but do feel like it’s still worth what DJI is asking for.  I’m glad they took their time & added some of the upgrades and didn’t give us a slightly upgraded device after 3 years.

I guess when it comes to price, what can one compare it with?  There's really nothing on the market with anything like the quality and feature set.  And from everyone's "I'm getting it!" comments, there's a market for it...

There are other options at better prices but the quality with the DJI seems miles better.

First notice said delivery Friday then got notice this morning out for delivery, it came from Netherlands .

Mine came DHL Parcel and they show far less details,  but it must be from the UK as theres no custom declarations on it.  

Impressed so far,  it charges super quick.

Haven't seen anyone answer that yet from videos I have watched.

In mimo app can you change the deadband of the gimbal portion of is that always going to be default?

Shooting in LOG also have interest in as I get beautiful shots with the action 4 so wanted to see how well this does in low light (city setting) rather than recording in a place with hardly any lights.

Also anyone know RTMP easy to set up? So if I want to live stream could I use key from YT / TIKToK (not sure can do with Instagram) to live stream some events (skateboarding/model shoots etc).

For the size I think one of the best things I have seen recently and so much potential.

Even for B-roll footage I think not many things can come close. Was even thinking using pocket 3+A4 for 3 camera set up. Hopefully binaural rec works too like A4

The Pocket ist not a action cam!

I have upgrated from Pocket 1 to Pocket 3. Almost everything is good, but I have found problem while testing streaming. Audio with original remote mic is disastrous. But when switch to external RODE Wireless Go 2, audio is absolutely satisfying. How can I fix it?

It feels much larger than the Pocket 2 to me and people notice it more as the screen draws their attention. You know then it's in your pocket (excuse the pun) more than you did with the Pocket 2.

Ive found if you enable the turn off screen feature it gets notices less.

Hiya all. with the care refresh package it refers to the main body and protective cover. On a chat to customer support and they have said this does not include the gimbal. This seems insane to me??? Surely the main body includes the whole main body including gimbal, but not accessories like the battery handle. Any one used tthe care refresh on earlier pockets or the pocket 3?

In the UK we get a 2 year warranty and Id expect that to cover everything.
