As the Mavic 3 Pro only launched at the end of May 2023 I doubt the Mavic 4 will be very soon.

A jump from the Mavic 2 to the 3 Pro is a very worthy upgrade, I would highly recommend it if you are looking to buy another drone at the moment. They also hold their value, so you can sell them and get quite a lot of your investment back.

I agree with the OP’s sentiment. The Mavic 3 really isn’t worthy of an upgrade compared to the MP2. Especially with the price jump it came with.
I don’t do videography, just photography so the camera needs a big upgrade in my eyes for it to be worth it.
Yeah, the flight time is better but by the time it was released I already had 8 batteries for mine.
Resale value certainly doesn’t hold like someone was suggesting.

I personally can’t wait for the MP4.

The mavic 3  is now 3yrs old, other than the camera the mavic 3 pro is still a mavic 3

Well you dont know what else internally has changed,  just because it looks the same.

Nothing internally has changed, it is exactly the same drone with a different camera module and taller motor mounts to account for the new gimbal so it doesn’t touch the floor.
Tear downs are plenty on YouTube.

The Mavic 3 is the same drone though basically so you could actually see a Mavic 4 first with a pro model later
ALTHOUGH to be fair any drone release will be mainly dictated by sales especially when it comes to their premium flagship Mavic.
The air 3 is a superb drone though and could easily detract many users from the standard Mavic 3, but I would not imagine seeing one before mid 2025, I did initially say November 2023 but that was mere weeks ironically before the Mavic 3 pro came out.

I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until the UK rules get ratified so they know the design they need to achieve to make it practical to sell in the UK.

To be fair that could make sense, the UK is a big drone market for DJI to remain in, although I cant see it personally, I think mid to late 2026 is too far off for a Mavic 4 product launch but I guess it depends on multiple factors, not least sales which non of us will know.
What would you like to see on a mavic 4?

Sorry thats not what I meant, but I should have been a bit clearer.

I made the prediction in late March/early April ish that we could see a drone refresh/new model based on a few rumours come November 2023 potentially.
It would then be 2 years after the original Mavic 3 was released in November 2021.
But a few weeks later the Pro Model was announced.

So I was wrong about the release in my prediction anyway.

hope that clears up my earlier unclear quote.

2026 is when the rule might come into effect,   they should decide on the rules well before that.  Although to be fair it's not stopping people fly the Air3 and Mavic 3 in the UK in places they shouldn't and Ive seen very little enforcement of it,  usually the enforcement I see is blatant height or distance breaches.

The previous post uploaded before I finished typing... I'm really hoping for a release on the Mavic 4 Pro this year, or at the very least a teaser trailer for it. Unless doing videography, I still don't believe the M3 is enough of an upgrade for from the M2. Really need that next step.

Hi there. Sorry about the trouble. The primary reason is insufficient points. To make an original post, a newcomer needs to have 20 points. You can refer to this thread to learn more: https://forum.dji.com/thread-715 ... 20days%20or%20more.. Have a nice day.
