Has anyone succesfully stitched a 360 pano with 70mm?
I tried 5 programs, including a manual stitch in Photoshop, no chance...there is not enough coverage from one image to other to establish control points...probably needs to be more overlapped.
Also the order for the pictures is row 2 - row 1 - row 3 -row 4...screwing even PTGUI and ICE.

Till then, DJI please take a look at 180 and wide for 70mm, will be more appreciated as the 360 is useless at this point.

I just tried to make a 70mm Sphere. .

The Air 3 shot 137 images, a total of 1.49GB.

Same experience. DJI did not assemble the sphere (or not anywhere I found). Transferring the files to my PC, nor did PTGUI or ICE.

Agree 180 and wide would be more use.

Hugin is free,
simply add 1 row ,align it, add another row, align it and so on.
Then you will be able to create your panarama.
Sky is almost impossible to be perfect.

I too would love a wide angle pano mode that simulates the view from the wide lens.  Would make composing a shot much easier and give a much more detailed file

Also tried manual alignment of rows, not a chance.

At least, Hugin does work inside : here is my first row



You can also try to export each row, and create a new panorama with all your
mounted  rows ...

The resulting tiff size of this row is 189.6 Mio

Hi Panovolo guy here ) we are not supporting these atm as our size limit is 32000x32000 pixels. We will be working on the version which will support higher resolution in the future. Don't want you to waste your time and be disappointed.

Wow, that is quite time consuming.  That's a huge size.  Hopefully, you'll find a site that accepts it.

Still, I see in some parts some ghosting, the drone did not stopped when tooked the photo (especially in very high SS), so probably will need an ND filter to keep the SS lower and force the drone to stop...

Never use ND filters to create a 360 panorama, then things will really go wrong.  I also saw you ask for a free program to post the panorama in full resolution, you also have to remember one thing here, free and 360 does not go together.  A cheap solution for placing large files (360 panorama) is 360Cities, they allow large files, but they also approve the photo for quality, if the photo is not finished properly it will not be placed on the server, unless you are a Pro member.

Forget Photoshop and Luminar, these programs are not suitable for 360 panoramas.  You must first edit 1 photo of your 137 photos in Lightroom and then synchronize the editing to the other photos, then go to Ptgui or hugin, you may need an XML file.  You must create this separately in an XML creator.  After Ptgui, the photo must be sent to Affinity Photo 2 to fill the Zenith and determine your starting point for the photo. In Affinity Photo you can make adjustments such as contrast.  After Affinity Photo 2, my photo goes through Topaz Photo Ai again, where I check whether anything really needs to be changed in terms of sharpness on noise, if not.  I leave the photo on 360cities and I can share it on my website.

Yes I did get it to work.

When it works correctly you end up with a 1.3 gigapixel (1300 megapixel) image.

Gigapan is the only website I can find that can support the full resolution images.

The best stitching software that I can find is an OLD defunked one that is not sold anymore but you can download it still for free and get a free license that is fully functional.
It is called Autopano by Kolor

If you search around you can find the MAC version as well.

The issue is the sky tends to be a mess or just not able to patch together because it is just big blue images with no context for stitching.

So I had to use Photoshop content aware fill to fix the sky. (Not perfect but in a pinch worked.)

In the end you have 51,000 X 25,500 images.  And the only website that can use them I have found so far is GigaPano.com.  You can setup a free account then use the gigapano upload software to upload your images for free.  You can't use the Gigapan stitching software because it needs a license and the company is gone under.

If anyone finds any better ways to do this lets share.

s far as I know, Gigapan is not presenting 360 panorama but 2D....Am I wrong?
