On 04/01/2024, without any fanfare or announcement, there was a technical modification to the MT2SD22 product, which is the DJI Mini 2 SE. Look what we found in the FCC database: According to the FCC ISED C2PC Permissive change letter document , product modifications are reported below:
1- Added an alternative H22A55 camera chip. (Comparing with the original camera chip H22A35, the alternative chip H22A55 has 4k function, which is not supported by H22A35) 2- The 2.4GHz FEM chip QPF4206 changed to KCT8247HE-1 and the 5.8GHz FEM chip QPF4550 changed to KCT8576N. The original and current FEM chips are changed from pin to pin, with the same basic functions and the same radio parameters.
In summary, a firmware update would be interesting for the DJI Mini SE to obtain 4K images, however, we need to take into account whether the hardware supports it, another cool thing, will this time be that the new KCT chips will withstand more temperature than the previous QPF, which Are they the “Achilles heel” of Mini models?
Who lives will see.
