Extracting myself from the superb Seweweekspoort was a struggle but I finally found my gravelly way back to Zoar and through the Huisvier pass where a hot wind was prevailing. I was a little reluctant to let the drone wander off too far as I was in no mood to go mountain climbing disguised as a rescue team.
  Calitzdorp is a town on the Western side of the Little or Klein Karoo in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Calitzdorp is renowned as a centre of the port wine industry in South Africa with several major wine estates famous for their award-winning products.
  My next port of call was Oudtshoorn. By the time of my arrival I was in no mood to go spelunking, preferring to dive into a body of cool clear water, so hotfooted it in the direction of the sea. In the Robinson pass the wind was a little too gusty to send the drone up so I just let the pass pass-by. Now I was wondering if I would be able to reach Mosselbay where I planned to cool my heels.I have never chanced it to ride so far on a 14L tank of fuel but I actually made it with some fuel fumes to spare. The chalet at Mosselbay was a real luxury to me after the previous night in the tent so, to celebrate I guzzled far too many cool juicy grapes staring at the sea.


Next Day I opted to take it easy and did a short hop to Victoria bay so that I could explore the Outeniqua pass and the Montagu pass and rest up for the last outward leg to Jeffries Bay.

Thanks Depp, it was a tad uncomfortably hot and gusty there, as always. you can see from the vegetation

Amazing scenery on this leg of the trip Droffarc.    No doubt the chalet room beats a tent any day.  
Got to ask - what is the "Save" decal for on your windscreen?

License disc holder advertising my insurer. But I don't like free advertising, so I place it upside down.
This year's licence holder says "NORTH" which is the name of a shopping chain but also the direction I must go since if I go south I must swim for it

Looks like you had great weather for the ride,  now dont go using all those fumes up tonight.  You should save a few.

Good reminder then to not go the wrong direction unless it is hot and you need a swim and the motorcycle needs a cool down.  

Driving that leg may have been boring, but the scenery was still fascinating to those of us who've never seen it before. Nice work.

My motorcycle gives me on average 4liters per 100 km
So to travel 100km will cost about $5
My car consumes about twice that .

Reminds me of when I was on some Navy cruises.  We would pull into port and beer and wine was cheaper than bottled water.

When I was on the advance party to the next port prices would be reasonable for meals, drinks, etc.  As soon as our American Navy ship pulled into port prices would double or triple.  That was not just for food and drinks mind you.
