Substantial dredging and repair work is still ongoing at the Marple Locks flight.
The Mini3Pro went to take a look.

Interesting footage of the ongoing work at the locks.  You even captured a train in the footage.    I haven't seen Monty around this week.  

Nice spot though much nicer without the works :-)

It's the silt and detritus of years, clogging the basin. They've emptied it for dredging and repair, before refilling it and re-opening the locks.

Hardly any incline at all, just a slight rise or fall at each lock (depending which way you're walking)

Ah, no. It's a scaffolding so they can repair the cill and walls of the lock. I suppose the sandy-looking surface is from their footprints all over it.

Ah from the height it looked like it was filled.   Scaffolding makes much more sense.

It's been a long job. They began last Autumn, and they're slowly working their way down the locks.
I think it mentions on the hoardings that work should finish by the summer.

Nice,  weather here wasnt great,  but I did fly two avata batteries at high tide.   Rain since,   so I had a late get up of 6am today.

I think its those wavy lines around the edges of the cabin.
Looks like the reflections in the water, and fools the eye.

Yes, the walk began in bright sunshine with scattered cloud, but ended under heavier clouds. At least it didn't rain.
