Remarkable mapping Charles.  The Mavic 3 Enterprise is a beast of a drone when it comes to mapping.  A couple of nice amenities at that location also.

I guess this is stitched, seems very far up otherwise.

It was done at 150 ft it's probably about 400 pictures. I posted a low res photo.the trees and landscape undulations forced a higher altitude. The owners wanted it at 130 ft but the hills and trees.

Quite a bit of work to compose that one Charles. The Hi-res version no doubt produces the goods for the roof inspections.

With the Mavic 2 it would have taken an hour. The M3E did it in 8 minutes. It flew the whole thing at 25 mph while taking 400 pics.

In the high res pics you can see the detail of every shingle. Did the whole neighborhood at 25 mph in 8 minutes.

I am so happy I got it. The only thing I don't like is the wide camera has vignetting. They say it's supposed to have it and there are settings to remove the vignettes but it's annoying.

Perhaps it's just a minor shortcoming, when balanced against its performance otherwise.

No doubt the hi-res files are very detailed and I'm betting very, very large in size.  You finished that project fairly quickly.

With the mavic 2 Pro it would have taken 50 minutes and 2 batteries. It was flying at 25 mph and didn' have to pause to take pics.

It definitely saves time. Great for maps and inspections, but not a cinematic drone. It's still screaming for me to get the Mavic pro 3. I am fighting the urge.

Completely. It even does smart obliques for 3D maps shoots at 3 different angles, then does two perpendicular grids.

You should expand into thermal work first.    They say theres good money to be made doing that.

That's the question. In NYC I'm not sure if there is lots of thermal work but looking for feedback from the people giving out jobs. They are telling me I'm am getting most of the work in my area. They are asking me to get emlids for GCP work. That's about 5k so waiting to see. I am using the RTK module now and don't see a reason yet to move up. Waiting for the demand on the next move. Trying to accumulate.

Sure. I find it amazing that the M#E has a great camera but it vignettes the edges. The drone is precise but it moves more abruptly. It has stiffer props than the 3 Pro. Some of it makes sense and some of it doesnt.

If they had a drone that would do everything that anybody wanted it would be priced so high that very few could afford to buy it. Hence a whole line of drones with differing capabilities puts more money into their pockets.

They have 30,000.00 drones that only do a couple of things well. It amazes me.

You're right about that.  Skydio and Parrot left the consumer side to profit off the enterprise side.  I was kind of hoping that Anzu Robotics might drop down into the consumer market within the next year or two.

You know I was getting somewhat the same impression.  DJI is probably sitting back and laughing.  Here the thinking is this drone is being made in the USA and software by a USA company so it's safe and without Chinese influence or data privacy issues.  Guess we will have to see how this turns out.
