Aloha voodoo,

     You have an Android device.  See, I can foretell the future.  So no try your voodoo on me, eh!

     Actually, I am updating my RC firmware as I type and it says on the screen that the new firmware is 1.5.70.  Also, I read on another thread that the iOS version still needs Apple approval, so it will be out later.  William has an iOS device.  Hope this helps!

Dear Cetaman,
The IOS RC 1.5.70 firmware was released today and I installed it.
I took it out for a test flight in 30 mph wind gust.
I only did a hovering test at 15 ft.
Considering the wind conditions it was dancing a bit but performed better then I exspected.
I respect your advice.  Is it good practice to recalibrate the Gimbal, Controller and IMU after a major update or is it overkill.

     In my book, there is nothing that is overkill if you learn something about it and all those calibrations are a learning experience - especially when you get it in the air.  Happy to see you are up and running!  Speaking of Happy - Happy Thanksgiving!

     What are you operating?  Android or iOS?  It makes a difference.  In case I am not around due to festivities, look at the other threads on this firmware update for suggestions on reinstalling and getting your system to work.  Remember to restart (reboot) when you can to get the links reestablished.

iOS.....I've rebooted same error codes...A new message popped up on the app saying my controller needs to be updated but no option to do so from the app..... I've had the drone for 8 days and haven't been able to fly it yet.... Beyond aggravated....... HELP

Aloha truckie,

     Try reinstalling the DJI Go app from the DJI downloads web site.  If your system asks if you want to install only the new or all, select all.  This way past problems with the old installation may get remedied when the app installs over it.  Works for Android, hopefully it works for iOS.

After 5 or 6 tries, my drone is finally going thru the newest firmware update.... The only way to do the app is to erase it then re-download thru the app store..... (As i'm writing this, my drone just updated successfully with a green light)!!
