Hi thought I would share a test I did with the compass.
I always wondered what the x,y,z,mod meant so here is what I found.
The x axis is through the aircraft left side to right side
The y axis is through the front to rear
The z axis is through the top to bottom
Assumes the P3 is flat and stationary
If the reading in the sensors of the Go app show:
y=0 the front is pointed north or south
with y=0 and x= (about) 500 (positive) the front is north
with y=0 and x= (about) -500(negative) the front is south
if x=0 the front is pointed east or west
with x=0 and y=(about) 500(positive) the front is west
with x=0 and y=(about) -500(negative) the front is east
The z azis is used by the math of the processor when the aircraft is tilted
because the numbers all change when tilted.
