Over 20 hours over the water, but always lots of adrenaline in my blood

I can't get the video to work but I understand. I have a few hours over water under my belt during a flood last summer. That was all ATTI and no FPV. I was pretty confident in my flying skills but I still had a little adrenaline flowing. You just just never know whats going to happen.

I have the same issue; afterwards it’s great when it’s over, eg :

Had some stranger ask me if the drone will float if the battery fails as i am flying over the Savannah river on Saturday.  I polity said no it will sink to the bottom.  Its always on my mind as I am flying.  Took this pic after i moved back over land after the gentlemen asked his question. Tilt shift effect added.

I guess the stress of flying over water depends on where you live. I live in Miami, Florida, an urban and suburban setting. For me, one of the safest places to fly, where I stand the least chance of endangerment to people or property is over the water.

The bad part is that if I crash my drone that I will not likely ever see even a piece of it again. I could go out into the Everglades to fly  but if you crash your drone in the glades you have to ask the alligators for permission to recover it. And I definitely think the gators would say "Nah."

I live on the beach in California and haven't had any issues with my P3P or the inspire. Just pay attention to the screen and alerts. I wear headphones to hear the alerts better.

Very nice! Did you have a filter on? I'm heading to Siesta Key, FL tomorrow and a little nervous about flying over the ocean......
