    is there any upgrades for the P3A to quiten down the engine/blade noise ? would be interested if there was as it would enable me to get closer to wildlife, some animals dont give a hoot but others bug out before you get in range !

     It is not only the props that shake up the wildlife when you approach them, it is also the Vision Positioning System's ultrasonic ranging component.  Try turning off the Vision Positioning System and see if that has an effect.

Seen rotors with three blades - not sure if they are for Phantoms.....only thing I can think of is approaching slowly to limit the motor noise, hoovering and reducing height slowly seems fairly quiet.

Think of your Phantom as a bee swarm, many animals do. Some are curious and come very close to check you out... Others are freaked. Slow movements and high approaches to test reactions are a good place to start. After all its a wide angle lens, so you'll need to compliment those ambiance views with some classical telephoto ground work.

Yeah, the Stealth Blackhawk...
As others have said, the props cutting through the air is what makes it noisy.  Just the nature of the beast.  A milder "angle" on the blades would probably quiet them down some but the motors  would have to work harder to stay aloft using more battery power so shorter flight times, warmer motors, etc...

Just so.  As an example,  My dog does not care when I fly my Standard.  When I fly the Advanced,  she barks at it and tries to bite it sometimes.

Of course she does. Independent test and clinical trials have proved that the Advanced is much tastier than the Standard.
