Great video, I don't remember Sydney looking that good in 1970 when I visited for a week.

You flew over my Motor Yacht. (Bottom Middle at 2:35)

I was anchored in Farm Cove for the New Years Eve Fireworks.

Must have been early in the morning as not many people about.

@talk2t_c thanks a lot. I did note encounter any problems but to be honest I did not ask for permission. Im fairly new to the drone thing so I thought I could fly it every where. Later I found out that in Australia there are already rules in place and it appears that I broke a couple of them.

I am a sydney local, and yes, we already have rules in place for drone operations,   no more than 500ft high, and more than 30 mtrs from people. or groups of people,  and no closer than 5 miles from an airport.  which you might be close to in those videos, as Sydney airport is almost Literally 5 Nm from the City.   and also, if you want to make money from your drone footage or use, you need a special CASA issued licence..

apart from that, do as you please.   

Next to the coastal cliffs is a light aircraft flight path, lowest level is 500ft.    so if your filming off the coast,  NEVER go above 500ft.    apart from that,  i cant see any huge rule issues.  except the 30mtrs from people bit...  but hey,     the results are a fantastic video highlighting the best parts of the city.

Great pics.  I don't think i've been above 200 feet yet but my fpv system has not arrived yet so i don't have the real number.

HermosaDrones - its the phantom 2 visión plus v.3 so no go pro. The camera setting were 1080p @60 fps

In Australia the height limit is 400 feet.

120 Metres so 394 Feet But thats within City limits. Outside of that it is OK to go above.
