Three weeks ago with the last firmware update my RC died. Now it is flying from Argentina to USA to get repaired. Tomorrow a friend is going to lend me his RC but it has the 1.1.8 firmware version. It is going to be compatible with my drone (v1.7.6)?? Do I have to do an upgrade? How do you recommend to do it in order not to brick another RC?

I would be grateful if you could teach me how do I have to proceed.
