Well,  that is interesting. I take it you are happy overall with the P4?
To my ( admittedly non-professional ) eye,  there appears to be some distortion in the image. At first it looked like the horizon was tilted a bit.  It also looked as if the center was bulged up slightly.  Last night was Friday night, and I engaged in a bit,  well a lot,  of revelry,  so did not get much ,  well,  any, sleep. So maybe it is just me.

Thanks for the field test JK.  It supports the analysis I shared a few weeks ago comparing the P3 & P4 FCC test reports.

"SS3-WM3301512 is not the proper FCC ID for the P4.  The ID on my P4 Drone is  2AHAY-WM33011601 The FCC reports (page 29) says the highest conducted power output is on channel 13 - 24.83 dBm or .304 Watt

From the FCC report SS3-WM3231503 (page 28) the highest conducted power output from the P3 is also channel 13 - 25.74 dBm or .427 Watt.  The important fact with all of these numbers is that by comparison there is just under 1 dB difference in power output between the two drones which translates to little difference in performance.

Thanks for doing the test.
I have done my own experiment twice, flying the exact same route with both P3A and P4, and concluded that both have about the same range.

I notice you had the polar pro filters.  I bought some as well and trying to figure out how to put them on as I'm first time buyer with Phantoms.  The UV filter that comes with the drone is pretty tight on it and I don't want to break it.  Any suggestions?

You have the Phantom 3 or 4? The Phantom 3 is really tough to get off. The Phantom 4 should be much easier. If you have a 3, I recommend using a rubber band around the very edge of the camer filter. This sound weird, but try not to squeeze too hard while twisting it off. Squeezing hard makes it worse.

thats what I'm thinking i don't really need the obstacle avoidance ,
the only thing that i really want  of the p4 is the extra minutes of flight time and the speed . with more speed you can go further and get the quad back

also I'm thinking to get the dbs because here I'm able to use only CE mode so  i think that I'm not going to be able to reach the 2 miles with the stock antenna

Nice job, where are you located?

The range looks like a perfect match for the type of aircraft.  I would not attempt this out here in Oregon in the mountains. but gives me comfort knowing that we have a good system
edit: (my P3P came with the latest model of RC remote. it is the same as the one that came with my P4)

PS, My P3 has the same remote model as the P4. Was the P3P you tested the same remote as you have with the P4 300C?

Thanks for taking the time and effort to settle the issue. You are100% correct in stating that it all depends on your surroundings and environment. That is true with any radio.

It should unscrew quite easily. Don't force it, just look to see where the threads are and be careful holding the camera as well (don't want to break anything on the gimbal). I have 3 ND filters and a UV filter for the P4 and i was very surprised with how easily the original lens came off while still being secure.

The trees where I fly from must suck up the signal like a bounty paper towel cause I get about 2800 feet with my inspire pro, about 2400 feet with my p3p and around 1400 feet with the p4?

All farm land, a few ponds here and there but house sparingly placed.  The scenery just isnt the best to film.
