hi, first post. My gf bought me a phantom 3 advanced for my birthday.
Shes seen me using my flame wheel 450 with naza lite, and a go pro stuck on, with less than perfect results, and thought i would apreciate the P3.
Really chuffed witht the phantom 3, have only flown in gps fully stab (p) mode at present, although i also fly naze 32 250 quads, so have experience with unstabilized flight.
does A mode fly similar to 'rate' mode on a 250 sized naze 32 quad, I.E release stick and quad will continue in last input direction?

Also have been using my iphone 5s for flying so far, but thinking of buying a tablet. Was going to get a new ipad soon anyway, but a little confused on which one.
Is it best to get an ipad, or any tablet, with cellular capability? I read certain functions of certain flight modes wouldnt be available wiht a non cellular device or is this incorrect?

In ATTI you're still using accelerometer, barometer and gyro. So not the same as rate.

I would recommends iOS devices over android. The mini 4 is outstanding and so is the air 2. If you don't get a cell device they will not have gps. You will lose follow me and dynamic HP. You could always use a Bluetooth gps receiver if you want to use these features down the road.

ok, so it would probably make sense to get  a cellular iPad, as the follow me mode, something I've tried already is appealing.

Yes but remember you don't have to activate the data service for it to work.
