Problem – Firmware upgrade failed for Phantom 3 Standard, drone continuously beeps loud, no light on wings

1.      I downloaded latest firmware version in DJI GO app in android mobile and started upgrading

2.      Upgrade failed after 52%. Upon restarting drone and RC

-          Drone started beeping loudly and continuously because upgrade was failed

-          No light on wings

-          DJI GO app says firmware is latest (!) hence no way to download again and upgrade ( it’s upgraded through app only for P3 Standard, no firmware file can be downloaded from DJI website)

Solutions (below worked for me) - Key is to download/upgrade once again

1.             Drone and RC turned off

2.             Uninstalled DJI GO app from mobile. Deleted DJI related folders manually from mobile

3.            Reinstalled DJI GO app

4.            Removed all cache data (if any)

5.            Reset beginner data/mode, this could be crucial point (I guess)

6.           Turned on RC and connected to mobile with RC wifi

7.           Status shown to “upgrade to latest firmware”

8.           Turned off RC

9.           Downloaded firmware

10.       Turned on Drone and RC (without connecting to mobile yet) and waited for few minutes. Drone continuously beeps loudly, no light on wings

11.      Connected mobile to RC with RC wifi and click on Upgrade

12.       Drone would continue to beep loud for next around 10 min and then it’d stop to usual upgrade beeps. Lights lit up on wings.

13.       Upgrade completed, Success!!!!

Thanks for your sharing. Is "Removed all cache data (if any)" equal to format SD card? Just curious.

No.  Experts can tell more, but cache memory/data can reside within app/local drive (mobile device).

I have a similar issue. Incredibly frustrating
