Hello,

I am getting pixelated video before take off when I am standing right next to the P4.  Since I was flying with Line of Sight I took off and flew for the event I was shooting.  However the video transmission issue never improved and got worse. Pixelation, Frozen Screen, Green Screens, it was so distracting I finally shut the P4 down and discontinued operation fearing a fly off or some other issue that would have caused loss of my platform or damage to the facility I was at.  I am back at my shop now and pwered the P4 back on.  Still the same issues!  

I would appreciate input on how to fix this and regain the usabilty of my P4.  I have a event I am supporting June 2nd and would like to avoid having to cancel.

Dji has bug in the software 2.8.2, there is no any info when it will be fixed because Dji is not answer any questions about this bug.. it is now day 7 with this and i have also missed 3 jobs.

Go back to 2.8.1 will solve your problem while waiting for the fix from dji.
Restore from your backup before 2.8.2 or use Charles web debugging proxy. Find the link from other threads

HaHa the only person. They have a booty firmware that they won't address. Like most including myself it was fine until the last update, Thanks DJi

You most likely don't have an P4 and an Apple device running DGI Go 2.8.2

There's a poll in the link below..  There were 91 users having issues and 18 having no issues.  (I suspect some of them didn't read the poll correctly and weren't actually using P4's with the Apple 2.8.2 DJI Go app).

Thanks for the replies.  I am running a P4 and an Apple device.  I will go through the links and try to back out the firmware update.  This is ridiculous!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues. Just to clarify, could you confirm what firmware you have on your aircraft and what software versions you are running on your DJI Go app and iOS? What model mobile device are you using?

DJI Go 2.8.3 is out, few people have installed and it solved the video problem. Back up your device with 2.8.1 before update to 2.8.3 just in case you want to roll back

I think there is something going on here?

If anyone is brave, could you downgrade the firmware and see if the issue is corrected?
or
Keep your P4 and the device inside an air conditioned room and see if the issue is gone?(Keep the P4 away from air conditioners though, or metal objects when it is on).

Try turning on Hardware Decoding on the device.

Brian, I replied in your other post. In your case this is likely cause by having hardware acceleration off, and locked to a single channel.

First flight with recently bought Phantom 4. Using a Huawei Mediapad X2 (Android).
Having similar issues as briandsouza. Lags, pixeling and green stripes (though narrower).
I mean, DJI must instruct on how to preoceed here in order to fix this issue!
The aircraft is useless the way it is!

I don't see your tablet on the list of approved devices. Try another device, those issues are usually caused by an under-powered device.

If you search the forum, you will find plenty of guys with the same problem.  I have a P4 and use an iPad mini air 2.  I had the same problem.  I am using iOS 9.3.5 and DJI Go 3.0.0 and have very few problems.  MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING DJI GO APP ONLY!  If you don't know how to close out all the other apps on your iPad, Google it. Hardware encoding ON.  Go to Phantom 4, Tutorial, on the Forum and look for my Phantom 4 Operator's Reference Guide.  There is a page there that shows recommended video settings.  It works...

Running P4 on Samsung Tab S2 9.7 wifi latest firmware on everything. Have similar problem (with previous firmwares as well), found if downgrade firmware on P4 then upgrade to current firmware will fix for about a day then need to do again to get clear live video.

I am having similar issue with my P4 using an iPad Mini 2 running version 3.0.2. On a somewhat regular basis I get the lag, discoloration, green bars, etc. I am running RC Firmware 1.8 and the latest firmware 1.02.0602 on the P4. I have never crashed the drone and have over 15 hours in total flight time. The issue seems to be more present lately. Streaming is a staple feature and I don't understand why DJI can't get it working right.

Widely known problem.  Mines doing it too.  Video transmission breaks up even within 100 feet!  DJI has a FW release coming out soon to address it.  I'm not too happy having spent 1800.00 and waiting 6 weeks for a FW release!  This is NOT SD card related.  Theres a FW bug that is causing interference.  lets hope they address this nonsense BEFORE the Chinese New Year!  Again its NOT card related for most. I have 5 different cards one being a Sandisk Extreme writing at 40Mbs its not speed related
