Hi guys

Can the inspire 1 be flown with the remote control and just with a tablet/phone?

Seriously?

Mate, it's a proper aircraft.
Not something like the parrot rubbish that will run from a tablet app only.
RC is definitely required, although you can fly without the tablet. (you just don't see any video or status)

Mate I understand its a proper aircraft... Just a question

I've got problems with an inspire not connecting and to the app and wondering if it's the remote

OK, had a look, understand a bit more of what you're talking about.

The RC's are known to get dodgy ports occasionally, if it's been dropped Honestly I'd walk away. You never know what else will fail at the wrong moment!
The price drop on new inspires has only just happened - 2nd hand prices will continue to tumble, esp as the new model emerges (can't be long now!).

Oh really? That's a shame, you don't think it's something that can be easily fixed then replaced if I need to?

Here is the link for the advert, I think he's asking a fair price, but I'm not an expert

Mike, to be honest with the Inspire 1 V2 sale of 35% or ($2K) ... buying a broken Inspire it is not worth the risk (at this price). Yes, it could be fixed, however without the back story and history of the aircraft it might be best to probably pass is one.

He's willing to swap it for my iPad Pro 128gb and Wii u, both compiled are probably worth about £850, seems seens a good deal, considering you get get a brand new RC from DJI for £369

Yes you do not need a device at all to fly the aircraft. You do need it to at least activate the aircraft.
BUT, without a device you have no access to change features and settings. NO, you cannot fly the aircraft without the RC.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean

He means that the Inspire is app-driven when it comes to settings and status notification.
The RC is very plain and simple - no displays or much in the way of buttons. pretty much everything done via the app.

I would imagine so. I have done it with my P4. The thing is though you don't really know what is going on.
