While having a fly around today I noticed a local high spot that I use as a landmark was higher than my auto return height.

I have 100 metres set but the hill is about 100 metres plus trees.

When I got home I tried to raise the set height for auto return home, but I get this message:

"Course reversal altitude cannot be higher than the altitude limit of 0m."

I have Max altitude set to 500, I tried setting it to 499 to refresh it but get the same message.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Yup, your drone has to be connected, because all the settings are stored to your drone, not the app. If you'd connect a drone to a new device the app will automatically load the settings, not the other way around.. This is because if you lose connection, the drone has to know the settings not app

Also very very important to go through the app and put all your settings as you want them before flying after DJI Go update.

I got bad photos twice after updates, on manual both times with manual ISO-100 then AWB-manual and very blue.

Also flew with return home height way too low, good job it wasn't needed.

Reset the camera settings and use Auto mode to try again. Is every photo very blue?
