An inconsistent firmware error flashed up when I started up this morning so I allowed it to download and update as suggested.. After the update, I now have now critical (10%) or low battery (30%) warnings on my bar at the top of the screen. I go into the battery settings and they're still set, however still not showing in the flight screen. Tried rebooting, different battery all the usual stuff.. But it's still the same. So is the firmware update faulty? Or have I done something wrong?

Do these not show up when the aircraft takes off ?

That depends on device. iPhone 6s plus it switches between map &radar at bottom left of screen. On iPad pro it appears as you say, to the right, with radar to the left.

Yes, it works after take off.. Strange as it didn't do that yesterday.. Running an iPad 4 mini.

That is strange, if it does it again delete and reinstall the app (after syncing fight logs)

you're more than right I own both iPad Pro 9.7, the bigger one and the 6s, but rarely fly with the latter...
