Had a slight crash with my phantom 4.. Ran into a light post for some reason.

Trying to fly it again and keep getting a Compass Error (restart aircraft)

IMU calibrates fine, tried refreshing the software & calibrating the compass several times and locations.

Is it broken? Or should I try doing something else!

Hello vdubbin, I'd suggest you to contact support@dji.com and then send it in for diagnosis. It is probably a hardware issue of the compass.

I sent the U.S. DJI a email this morning

Finally got my P4 back from DJI today.
Flying after work.

They ended up replacing the Right landing gear & the Main control component.

So glad to have it back!  Missed flying

I've read that they use the landing gear for the Compass... that a crash could cause an internal disconnect...

I've been wondering... do you have the service plan?  If so, was it easy to use?

The 2 compasses are in the landing gear.

I don't have a service plan no..  DJI was pretty easy to work with just cost me a couple $200 to fix it :/

Try it, on the main 'Phantom' page there should be a blue button at top right hand side "New Thread", click on that and away you go.
