Since you mention you're not into much video editing, I bet the 4K video would be overkill for your application. Something to consider....When you shoot 4K on a P3P, you are limited to 24fps. The intellectuals swear by this frame rate, as it produces the cinematic look that our minds are trained to accept following years of cinema at 24fps. What people often forget to realize is that in order to capture quality video at this frame rate, you must fly very slow, controlled, and steady to avoid rolling shutter effect. It's not as easy as it sounds. In fact, some pros only capture forward moving video at 4K 24fps and everything else at 30/60. Then in post, they render the entire video in 1080P 24fps.
Unless you're an insanely good pilot, you're likely going to want to shoot 60fps most of the time...which is available at 1080p, It's very forgiving, excellent for side to side shots, and can be slowed down for very smooth slo-mo.
All of this can be done on the P3A very well. I once struggled with the very same questions, and I went with the P3A. I couldn't be happier! =) |
