Hi everyone.. Question..

When I fly and I record I usually try and let it go for the entire 20 something minutes to get all the flight.. But when I pull the card out and put into computer it is in 3 files... Why is it doing this and can I STOP IT... I want one file ...

I am using a 64 gig card and it did it with the original card that came with it also..
I am recording in 4K

Can anyone help me out..
thanks

Hello Patrrick, the situation you described is normal. The video will stop recording once it reaches 4GB, and continue with a new file automatically.

And no, you cannot stop it happening. You can join the files together in an editor later if you wish.

The recording system uses Microsoft's 32 bit file allocation table. (FAT32).  Because of the way FAT32 it works, it can't deal with files that are greater than 4 GB

See this link --> http://answers.microsoft.com/en- ... f7a6976ac0c0?auth=1

"FAT32 took over from FAT16 and has a maximum drive size of 2TB. Its
maximum file size is 4GB, which is why you can't copy a 5GB file to
it. Its cluster size is 4KB up to a partition of 8GB. Above 8GB the
cluster size grows up to 32kb".
