Just wanted to let you know, that DJI has apparently a lot of orders for Osmo Mobile and that shipping may take longer. I just received an e-mail, stating that "due to unprecedented demand" my Osmo will be shipped on 22nd Sept.
On one hand, that's a good news. I suspected that there would be high demand and at least I know what to expect. On the other hand... still more than one week to go

I was told 3-5 days when I ordered... I assume this was a lie?

This product has just been launched. This often happens, when product is interesting and there is high demand.
For example, recently Fujifilm also had problems with its X-T2 orders.

Um.. but if I have 0 products in my warehouse and not expecting more for three weeks I wouldn't keep selling the product promising 3-5 days dispatch... That would be disingenuous.

I'm sorry for the delay, it was certainly due to overwhelming demand. They are working very hard.

After the huge response of preorders, the shipping time was quoted as 10-15 days after payment.
So there is no promise now of 3-5 days after payment conformation.
They are working very hard to fulfill orders.

Actually, after my Sept. 3rd order didn't ship on the 12th, as promised, and I pointed out the 3-5 day shipping was still being quoted, then the shipping quote was changed to 5-10 days, and then later to 10-15 days. Since folks who ordered on the 2nd are delayed beyond 10 days, then clearly DJI should have known on the 3rd, and 4th, etc., that orders that were already quoted for 3-5 days weren't going to be fulfilled. Deception? I can't say. Irresponsible? I say yes.

There was when I ordered. Which is why I ordered. It is dishonest, extreme demand or not, there is no excuse for taking people's money when you know damn well you can't deliver what you've advertised. It will only hurt dji's business.

I'm sorry, when you ordered that was the time frame, many received their Osmo's and many didn't. Again, DJI did not know the demand would be this big.
If you feel cheated, then please cancel your order for a full refund.

Been checking the Orders page today... it showed Pending. Then refreshed, and... Shipping Status: Shipped
