I hear about folks using Carbon Fiber propellers on their drones and I would like to know why?     What does it help?  Faster?      Is there better propellers out there?  I just use the standard white plastic ones and want to see what I am missing.

Thanks

They look better.
I think they make more noise.
The standard ones are as good as any.People think the carbon props are more responsive, not convinced myself. You can get wooden ones, but i have no idea about them.
I like the carbon props, for looks, but the standard plastic ones are good.
Your choice which you use

What's the benefit? Saw that video of that guy that cut himself with the carbon fiber ones, dangerous stuff.

Agreed. I bought DJI CF blades and have been running them for 6+ months.
I've found that they weigh the same as the OE blades (or slightly more)
They sound a little different, but the volume is about the same.
I've felt no difference in response.
They look cool, but I painted my white blades and they look cool also.
They are stiffer, but the OE blades were by no means wiggly. CF might produce a deeper gash in your arm or head. No experience there.
They've performed well for me, but I would not pay a premium price for them again.
Lastly - If CF can be identified by the visible fiber, you will not be able to identify these blade as CF. They appear identical to the OE blades, only black.

Hope this helps
