Is it possible to connect the original Zenmuse Z15-5D gimbal (note: not the newer III HD version) to the Lightbridge 2 system?

Reading the Lightbrdige 2 manual, there is a cable that connects this system to the G7 port on the Z15-5D III HD, which the original version does not have.

Is there a work around here?  Or is the original Z15-5D incompatible with Lightbrdige 2?

Something that I have thought of doing is to replace the GCU in the Z15-5D with the one that comes with the Z15-5D III HD.  Again, is this possible?

Would appreciate any inputs/thoughts on the matter as I am somewhat stuck.

The original 5D is incompatible with Lightbridge 2, as it is not considered to be a HD gimbal.

How about the Z-15 N7 for the Sony NEX-7 camera?  Is this gimbal compatible?

Jamie, thanks for confirming my (worst) fears.  About to send it back to the company from which I purchased it and get the HD version.
