Use Case:  I just returned from a 3 day backpacking adventure.  I brought my new Osmo mobile with me to capture time lapses, sweeping panormas etc.  I also like to hike using walking sticks.  You see where I'm going...  Rather than taking my pack off, getting out the osmo mobile, shooting footage, take pack off again and put the mobile up, I'd like something that could go on a belt or some type of harness that I can just set it in and forget it until I need it.  Any options?

Probably some 3rd party accessories, DJI doesn't have one.

would love to see this as well.. holster and something than can hold the gimbal. and easily deployed for use...

I have one of these, it is great from hiking round with the Osmo on your belt.
It comes with a large (wide) belt but can be taken off on any belt - harness.
