Two weeks ago I have a problem with my phantom 3 standard, I eh flown and when I get to 80 meters distances the app starts to say lost signal and then returns home, I flew in rural areas to make sure that no no interference. I mind flying above 800 meters away and everything was fine. What's up? help me!!

Have you tried to adjust the antenna when it starts to say signal lost?
Also what's the current firmware version?

yes i have upgrade my aricraft and of course i tried to move antenna when i was flying and same. lost signal and RTH. please i fly like i flew before and got 800 meters away with all ok

Did you update the firmware to 1.7.90?
Could you please try to go to another open field with little interference around and fly it again?

Please check on "About" page for the current version firstly.
Have you tried to delete app and re-install it or change another mobile to connect it?
Also you could try to re-link them and fly it farther firstly then higher, please do not fly it straightly above your head.

hi.. yes i did...new firmware. re link remote control, fly in rural zone, still it lost signal at 150 meters away.maybe i need downgrade. coz it worked good before this new firmware

When I bought my DJI PHANTOM 3 STANDARD one month ago, I reached a distance of 600 Meters and an altitude of 450 Meters, but since 2 weeks ago I just could reached a distance of 130 Meters and an altitude of 110 Meters, and SIGNAL LOST and GO HOME. I checked DJI GO APP and BEGINNER MODE is DISABLE, MAXIMUM ALTITUDE is 400 METERS and DISTANCE LIMIT is DISABLE. My drone is on PERFECT CONDITIONS, I never have crashed and the FIRMWARE is UPDATED. So someboby could let me know what is happening.

You could try to downgrade the firmware to 1.6.80 by holding the academy-button in the DJI GO app.

i had 1.6.8 but i upgrade. and btw when i did it. it just take about 5 min . not like tutorial says. about 20 min. i did it wrong?

when i hold academy bottom it says "get firmware version failed"
i tried re instal firmware but it doesnt change.

Please try to find the update log file by following these steps:
1. Enable Viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC.
For The Windows System:

For The Mac System:
http://ianlunn.co.uk/articles/qu ... mac-os-x-mavericks/
2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.
3.The LOG txt file is under the LOG folder.

i have P3C_CAM_VERSION file in LOG folder. but it is not .tXT format. so i ask if there is some file that i need

i have a video where u will can to see my problem. look at DJI app. drone RTH. it is at 50 meter attitute. look at antenna position and look at where is my drone. it is exactly over me. i dont move anything i jsut cancel RTH. please help me

This is the worst scenario that you may have.
Antenna straight forward, and the drone right above you.
try to fly farther. and then go higher ..

and place the antenna 45 degrees..

You will see that the "signal lost" will disappeared..

I have the same issue, flying it in the same location and the same way I used to.....This is my story....So after not being able to connect to my controller after the upgrade to 1.7.9, I eventually sent it out to STC Electronics in NY. I got it back late last week and finally flew it yesterday...WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT!!! I used to easily be able to get to 400ft altitude at a distance of over 1500 feet away. I now LOSE remote signal near 300 - 350 feet altitude and cannot get over 1000 feet away. I should have left this darn thing ALONE. I don't know if my drone was at 1.5.7 or 1.6.8 before but it used to work flawlessly. Very disappointed. I want to downgrade it but am nervous because of the problems I had during my initial upgrade and don't want to be in a position to have to send it out again. $50 round trip shipping and $30 labor to fix......not happy!!!

If you had adjusted the antenna, maybe you ran into interference in that area.
Please try to fly in another open area to see if you get the same distance.

My friend, i have the same problem (i live in europe). The problem is the Phantom 3S, it's a piece of crap, and DJI knows that. The scariest thing is that there seems to be no solution. My P3S is currently under warranty to be repaired for the 2nd time and I will not give up complaining until they solve the problem. Forget what they tell you to do, the problem is on the Drone.

yes i am agree. but what can we do? maybe next firmware fix it? but do you know ? when it will be availible? and if there will ...now i sent it to me seller here in PERU. they change drone's antennas if after it doesnt work. they dont know what more they can do. DJI should do something. a lot opf people has the same issue. and they just say update firmware, relink RC, try different places, etc etc. to me they did it coz they just want sell the PHANTOM 4 or this new PHANTOM 4 PRO.
