When you say "7 weeks to go" do you mean that you only have to wait another 7 weeks before DJI tells you that you only have 7 weeks to wait until their next announcement?

Can you book the day off that far in advance?

Take the day after delivery. That way you don't waste time with charging batteries, updates, calibration, reading the manual, etc. The day after you can fully enjoy the Mavic. {:4_181:}
