Hi,

One of my gyros, Gyro01 is always in the yellow when I start up my Mavic. At first it displays an IMU error, but after it does its "warm up" (which takes a minute or so) the error goes away and says it's ready to fly.

Since it doesn't prompt me to do an IMU calibration I don't do one. Mavic flys fine.

Here is an image of the Sensors State:


If I do an IMU calibration Gyro01 goes into the green again. But again at the next start up, it's back to yellow.

A few questions:

1) how long does your mavic take to start up and go through IMU testing?

2) how often do you do an IMU calibration?

3) does my gyro seem to be flawed

4) whith a gyro in the yellow, should I do a calibration before every flight?

Please cool aircraft down firstly, then calibrate IMU in a very level surface. It will not take a long time
May I know have you upgraded aircraft to the latest?
To clarify, you have the "IMU error" each time when you start it up or not?

DJIGo App is: 3.1.0
Both Mavic and controller are: v01.02.0900

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Alpha (5) with Android version: 5.0.2

This happens every time right when starting up the aircraft, so the aircraft is still cool.

Here are some screenshots:


After 45sec to a minute the IMU error disappears and the Aircraft Satus and Senor states look normal.

PS (don't worry about GPS warning. This was indoors. GPS outside works well. IMU error at startup also happens in wide open field outside though.)

INTERSTED in the results,  as mine does the same thing  but once it warms, up and gets gps lock goes to ready to fly,   have had several flights after that with no issues,  but  always on the first flight, when its not warmed up,  that is the way mine starts,   So  thought it was normal,  once I change batteries after first flit, never see it again that day,  but next time out,  same thing before first take of, and position lock,,  will follow thread,  thanks for post

I've included a few flights, you should see that at every startup the IMU error shows up and then after a minute or so dispersal. Please advise what to do.

Any time any of the sensors are not in the low end of the green zone.

The IMU config should be done when the aircraft is cold.
