I don't understand why DJI would switch to "Here" maps instead of continuing to use Google Maps.

The map always followed the qyad when you flew. Now it just remains locked to the home-point and you have to switch to the map view and move around to find the quad. It is not only inconvenient it is dangerous, because you have to take your eys of f the quad and spend time finding the darn thing

PLEASE, DJI fix this problem!

DJI shouldn't have released it knowing the maps were not right.

I hope it doesn't take six months to solve.

But wich is the reason why dji has change google maps for here maps?

The reason all companies switch... it comes down to cost.

DJI, finding ways to cut cost and quality while relying on customers to buy from previous reputation.  I'm enjoying flying my drone without care as I will be returning mine fully under the extended holiday policy next month and getting my money back.  This new product has had entirely too many growing pains and the customer service poor.  I expected more for $1,000

Not happy with the switch so yuneec is my next purchase.

Useless without Google maps. Thanks for the slap in the face DJI! You guys went from the best to the worst with 1 change. Good job....Drone fore sale!

Seems a bit extreme, so the only reason you think a drone is good is if it has Google maps? Well enjoy the competition.

It may be a China vs Google type thing.

I don't even use the map feature, I like to fly my drone where I can actually see it. But seriously, all of the advancements that DJI has in their drones and you think they're crap because of a map. Like I said, enjoy the competition. I guess people just need something to complain about.

Not trying to upset anyone but its like buying a car that gets 40mpg and taking it back to the dealership for a pcm reprogram and you come out with everything running great but now you get 20mpg.  Just worried whats next???

Just go back to DJI GO 3.0.1 and you will have google maps back.

The mail dev@dji.com can complain about the change ...

Please put in options to CHOSE which map program to assign to the app... Everyone gets what they want,  google maps have far better detail in most locations... Allow users to select it as the app default.

Yeah Google is banned in China so maybe the Chinese government pressured them to remove it.
I wonder why they did not use GPS location on startup, so if your outside China it uses Google.

I know a good way to fix it, use litchi. It may cost money but most free apps are either full of ads or poorly written.
