Any idea when these will be shipping. I preordered a bunch after announcement but havent gotten any update.

i ordered 5 when i placed the order for the p4p+ the day after announcement.

i received my entire order with 5 new batteries a couple days ago (monday).

seems like those like me who ordered these new batteries at the same time/on the same order as the drone are getting their orders fulfilled now. so perhaps trhose who placed a separate order are not far behind.

Yes, I ordered the P4P+ on the 16/11 and received my battery, separately today.

100% correct, if someone is selling DJI batteries and the deal seems too good to be true DO NOT BUY.
DJI aircraft will only work with a DJI OEM battery.

So I canceled 8 hours ago. I used the refund order button. So easy so simple. Placed a new order elsewhere.... and just now got an alert from PayPal DJI just charged me $597...

Every time I think my orders couldn't get screwed up more they do.

My mistake. I was referring to price difference with the lower capacity (supposedly authentic DJI) batteries purchased from resellers. And by "twice", I mean about a $70 difference.

Yeah there are definitely cheaper batteries out there, but I'd never chance it. I've seen way too many posts in here about phantoms powering off mid flight from aftermarket batteries that were "cheaper". These same people complain to DJI when they will not warranty the aircraft.  Just not worth the risk.

We've checked your case, please do not worry about it.
As you can see on the website: "we will receive temporary authorization to charge your card once you have completed the payment process. We will charge you when we ship out your order or when your temporary authorization reaches day 28, whichever comes first".
The system will charge him automatically since the temporary authorization reaches day 28. That's why you got an alert.
So cancellation process has not been completed recently, please do not worry about it.

Good point. Do you know if there is a way to confirm a battery from an "authorized dealer" is authentic or not? I mean, once you have received one. I suppose it's possible the DJI software can check. I know previous versions did. Not sure about DJI Go 4 though.

DJI has a list of authorized resellers - I believe that it is under the Support link. I only buy from resellers listed there. I will not order directly from DJI because they charge my credit card immediately but hold the entire order for out-of-stock items then ignore my cancellation requests. Plus my credit card company charges a foreign transaction fee. I love the DJI products, just not the way they handle that.

BTW, I have tried after market batteries for other electronics in the past and have had mixed results at best. However, I would never consider anything but an authentic OEM battery for a high performance flying machine, especially one in this price range. Even if after market batteries were half-price I would not take a chance. Just my 2-cents worth.

The DJI brand batteries can be purchased from authorized seller for considerably less and shipped a lot quicker.  Same as the ones they are selling direct.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. That's the reason why I was wondering why anyone would pay so much more for a high capacity battery on dji.com for a couple extra minutes. I suppose the high capacity type could be significantly less with a reseller too.

probably not, it's just the p4 batteries have been out for a year

I got minetoday minus my drone! It doesnt make any sense!
