You can set them to discharge in the app usually 10 days, so I presume that's a safe option.
Or you could just run them playing with the simulator.

that exactly is what confuses me. For LiPo you usually get the advise not to leave them fully charged for longer than 24h... might be a rumour?

Well only info I can give you on that is that is the system I used with my P4 batteries for the last 10 months and they are still working perfectly, using them now with my P4Pro.

It clearly states in the video @ 2:50 seconds that you should discharge the battery after 3 months, and charge every 3 months if not used. If it were not safe or damaged the battery to leave it charged for a shorter period than that, DJI would have erred on the side of caution and put either , discharge every 10 days in the video.

thx hallmark, ill give it a go. spike, sure it states what you say, but it does not state what % charge to store it for 3 months. however i found this in another rc forum:

"For optimum battery life, store your RC LiPo batteries at room temperature and at about 40-60% charged. That equates to around 3.85 volts per cell (open terminal resting voltage).

I could never afford, nor justify buying 6 extra batteries as the OP has done - they would cost more than the drone itself!
would not a car DC to AC adaptor not be a far better option? one could then charge whilst taking a break, or whilst driving to a new location

you dont need to justify anything and neither do i or anybody else. if i want / need 6 or even 3000 batteries, why would you care? please reread my question. i did not ask for moral advice or car -harging-solutions and their advantages.
