Ok I found the solution I think. Basicly the X5S should be able to shoot (AS PER MANUAL) 5.2k apple Prores with the 120gb SSD, and it can. If you go to SSD mode, and choose the 2.44:1 ratio, 422HQ apple pro res at 29.970 (30fps) you should find you can record to the SSD, it will also start recording to the SD card a the same time with what ever setting you dailed in for the SD card. Now, to shoot 4K at 60 FPS, that is only going to work in the h264 or h265 codec, and only on the SD, not the SSD. So if you turn the SSD off, and dail in the 60 fps / H264 3840x1572 it will then record to the SD. This basicly is all they said the Inspire 2 and X5S can do with the 120GB card and the licencse keys. Hope that helps as I initially thought I had a problem same as you. |
