Whose bright idea it was to limit your ISO to 500 after selecting D-Log after the update?!? Whoever decided to do that has never stepped his foot outside of the office. This better be reversed ASAP.
It was working just fine and I was able to match my footage with other cameras. Now I don't have D-Log because of this idiotic update.

And for the rest of you guys - DO NOT UPDATE YOUR P4P

No, it limits D-Log to ISO 500 only. Once you select D-Log - the only ISO you can choose (can't change it) is ISO 500.

I just tried it and ISO goes up to 6400 in video and camera mode up to 12800.

CORRECTION.

You are RIGHT. I did the controller update but when I did the AC update it locked the ISO to 500 in D-Log???

It is crazy

Bogdan probably meant that the ISO is limited only in D-log color space, so if you set anything else there should be no limit (ISO within the range of 100-6400 for video and 100-12800 for photos).

In fact it does make sense, because the higher the ISO, the more dynamic range deteriorates, so keeping it at low value (100-500) can actually preserve pretty high dynamic range. The only thing is that it works exactly the same way in any color space, so I am not sure I can follow, sorry!

They say that the ISO value of 500 has the best dynamic range, but I find it intriguing that you can't even choose other options. I don't want high ISO values when the sensor is this small.

I am with you but the only thing is DJI locked it. We should have the option to decide what to range to use like that had before.

Interesting,  does DJI provide a reason?  Does DJI even provide a Native for the P4Pro?

Nothing yet... Hope one of the MOD will jump and shed some light on why they locked it!

Please do not  limit the ISO to 500!!!     I need those lower ISO in D-log sometimes.
it is fine to recommend the use of ISO 500 and up but it should not be a limit!
Please!

That's a mathematician's answer. And in current situation a very incompetent one, because whoever wrote it doesn't understand what Log is being used for. Let me start with saying that  EVERY CAMERA ON THE MARKET (including Sony that you guys use sensors from) HAS Log AS A PROFILE ACROSS THE ENTIRE ISO RANGE. Now imagine you are a videographer that uses aerial footage as an additional camera indoors and has to match footage to other cameras. D-Log makes matching footage fairly easy. and in some environments you NEED to be shooting at ISO 800 1/60th of a second at f/2.8 at 4K p30. And you NEED it to be in Log so that you can easier match footage with other cameras. That was working great prior to yesterday's update. Please advise the R&D team not to act like they know cameras better than any other manufacturer. Because the only camera that's screwed up like you guys screwed up P4P is by DJI. Don't take away functionality. Add or fix. But don't take away. You just made my P4P a toy. Downgrading the firmware and I await an INTELLIGENT answer from DJI.

Even better get yourself over to nolimitdronez.com and that software is so easy to use.

Now heres the thing. new 1.05.0600 firmware official from DJI is worth having because fixes the horizon shift tilt problem so im suffering the 500iso to have no tilt issues... its a tradeoff im willing to make for the very nice flight abilities of the .05.0600 firmware. Flies much more like the mavic now, much more locked in.

What's strange is why they only lock the d log to 500 on the Phantom.  On the Mavic PP, you can shoot d log at ISO 100.

I fully agree, it's not a good thing to lock out the other ISO range.

At 500 ISO with the P4 Pro, you are IMO at the max of the DR even though the chip is rated higher.  And there is way too much noise at 500 IMO.
