I get the app to work only to find the tablet doesn`t fit in the holder.

I have this one ... and its fine ... uses similar clamp to the handle but is metal so is much better ...

The one that uses the neckstrap eye is great as long as you stay with standard set-up ... but change to Argtek and you have problems ...

For the sake of a few dollars/pounds/euros more on the retail price I cannot understand why Dji never fitted the Standard remote with the same tablet holder as the Inspire/P3 Adv/Pro.

Just because it's the entry level P3, so they dumb it down on purpose. To give you one more reason to go for the P3A or P3P.

There are some large tablet holder adapters that you could use to extend the tablet holder. There are plenty available if you search it.
