Hi could anyone explain why sometimes my camera C1 and C2  buttons work ok  yet randomly they dont work .

I always seem to notice this when i am already in the air :-(

More times than not both the buttons work for pointing the camera straight down and then reverting it back to forward pointing but on occasions they dont work even though i have not changed any settings.

Thanks

Just to make sure I'm on the same page, you hear the audio queue when you hit either the C1 or the C2, but the function that's assigned to it does not activate? Have you already tried relinking the RC?

The C1 and C2 buttons tend to emit a short "beep" when you hit them. Just to make sure there aren't any odd presets, please try the following button combination to reset the RC:

* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.

I would recommend relinking the RC to the aircraft manually as well:
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
* Press C1, C2, and the record button on the controller, then the controller will beep like D-DD. This may take a few seconds of holding it.
*While holding the buttons, press the wheel on the right side of the controller and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
* Use a pen to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.

Please let me know if you notice any changes.

Hi Fans,

I have experienced this as well and my Phantom 4 Pro and an iPad Pro 9.7".  My solution has been to re-boot the iPad.  Both C1 and C2 become active again following a re-boot of the iPad.

As a point of information.  I would not re-boot the iPad while flying.  If this happens while flying I resort to the iPad controls to alter the camera settings.  I wait until the aircraft has safely landed before re-booting the iPad.

I always check my C1 and C2 buttons before I lift off as part of my preflight checks. Once in awhile, the C1 does nothing and restarting the bird usually restores it.
