After a tiny drop (90cm onto carpet! ) the gimball mounting plate snapped on my brand new mavic drone.  (had it 4 days)

Im gettin no-where fast even gettign a shipping label from DJI.   Other post here: http://forum.dji.com/forum.php?m ... mp;extra=#pid777540


Has anyone had any luck with changing the plate themselves? if so hwo did you get on with threading the ribbon cale through? and where did you source the part?

Sorry, it should have occurred to me to suggest this when I saw your other thread. As for actually doing it, send a Private Message to RedTailHawk36 who recently did this himself and I'm sure he'll be willing to share the details.

So far Mr (or Mrs) DroneFlying, you have been infinitly more helpful than the people at DJI - who are paid to be helpful!
