Isn't the Dji app supposed to show the wifi externder battery %? Mine just shows the extender icon shaded in blue.

It the Phantom 2 vision firmware 3.8 phone is a samsung galaxy s4 and the app is 1.0.58.

If you upgraded the range extender & App when all the 3.10 Firmware fiasco were going on.. Then you won't see the extender battery level anymore on P2 Vsions...  If you have a P2 Vision + You can still see the range extender Battely level.

I have the Vision and i can clearly see the extender battery level,. im also on 3.8 with the android app, that being said im on the Ilovecoffee mod of the DJI app which i think is based on 1.0.54, try using that as a test and see if your battery level returns.

Something else to try, if as Ronny says you have ran the upgrade (didnt work for me) on the range extender, then do a full reset (press reset on the range extender until the light goes out) and rebind the camera to it, check the binding section on the app for the MAC address before resetting it as you will need it to rebind.

I sent a e mail to the person for the APP they said on the 2 Vision and android the battery level IS NOT shown. I have the 1.0.58 version and the Galaxy Mega.

seems i need to upgrade to 1.0.58 and see for myself, as i said im using the 1.0.54 version and it does show, gonna go play with the latest app version,

So i just threw 1.0.58 onto my Samsung Galaxy 3 and guess what .

It shows the battery level for the extender

Ok this doesn't make sense thats the same app version that I have. Im going to redownload and see what happens. Thanks.

Well I reinstalled the app and it still isn't showing the wifi extender battery %. Maybe that part doesn't work on the Galaxy S4.

Like i said before.. once you upgrade the range extender the battery level % is gone... Chrash1time should avoid confusing other people here by stating that he is prolly on a old firmware not 3.12 or 3.10 and that he hasn't upgraded the range extender via the app.  OR state if he is using a RE700 with his (Phantom 2 VISION........ NOT PLUS.) instead of a RE500

Point taken Ronny, I'm using the RE700, but I'm on 3.8 firmware, so I swapped out my RE700 and put on the RE500 and the icon for the RE is illuminated but there is no battery level shown.
Hope this clears the non intended confusion I appear to have created with my earlier post

No problem i just wanted to clear things out..

I realize this is an old thread but I saw no answer to the question. My DJI app shows the wifi extender but no percentage of battery left.  Are we supposed to charge after every flight or is there a way to know when we should charge it?  TIA
